This recording is of two grand rounds presentations on parasitic infections to the Mount Sinai Department of Medicine. Both cases discussed relate to infections in immunocompromised patients. Dr. Richard C. Hubbard, Dr. Bottone, Chairman of the Department of Microbiology,; and Dr. Jack Rabinowitz, Chairman of the Department of Radiology first present on a case of Histoplasmosis. Then, Dr. Massey, a visiting doctor from Boston, where he was the chief resident at Boston City Hospital presents on the second case, which involved hyper-infection syndrome caused by the parasite, Strongyloides.
