Mount Sinai Medical Center
The Mount Sinai Medical Center was established in 1968 as the corporate body comprising both the Mount Sinai Hospital (founded in 1852) and the newly opened Mount Sinai School of Medicine. In 2013, the Medical Center merged with Continuum Health Partners to form the Mount Sinai Health System.
This community contains electronic records which document the Mount Sinai Medical Center as a whole prior to its merger with Continuum Health Partners in 2013. Records specific to the Mount Sinai Hospital or the School of Medicine, as well as the records of individual clinical departments and the present Mount Sinai Health System, can be found in other sub-communities of the Record Groups series.
